Read the Text

Ahmed has got a problem. His head hurts and his throat is sore. He has got a cold. His nose is red and his eyes are watery.

Ahmed goes to see Doctor Lee. The doctor asks him to open his mouth. She looks at his teeth and his tongue. Then she listens to his chest with a special tool.

“You have got a bad cold,” Doctor Lee says. “But your heart is strong and your lungs are clear.”

Have you got a fever?” she asks.

“Yes, I have,” Ahmed says. “My face is hot and my hands are cold.”

“Don’t worry,” the doctor says. “Drink lots of water and rest. Your legs and arms are strong, so you will feel better soon.”

Ahmed goes home. He puts a blanket over his shoulders. He drinks tea and sleeps for two hours. His stomach is hungry, but his throat hurts too much to eat.
