Every Saturday, Sara goes to the local market. The market is near her house. She buys fresh fruit and vegetables for her family.
Today, Sara has a shopping list. She needs some tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She also wants to buy apples, bananas, and oranges.
“How much do the tomatoes cost?” Sara asks the seller.
“The tomatoes are two dollars a kilo,” he says.
“I will take two kilos, please,” Sara says. She puts the tomatoes in her bag.
At the next shop, a friendly woman sells fruit. “Do you have any fresh bananas?” Sara asks.
“Yes, we do!” the woman says. “The bananas are very good today.”
Sara buys six bananas, four apples, and three oranges. Then she buys a loaf of bread, some cheese, and a dozen eggs.
“Does your mother like fish?” the fish seller asks.
“Yes, she does!” Sara says. She buys two pieces of fish.
Sara carries her bags home. Her family is very happy with the fresh food.
