Maria lives in a small apartment in the city. It is comfortable, but it is not very big. Her kitchen is smaller than her living room. Her bedroom is the smallest room in the house.

Her friend Tom lives in a house in the countryside. His house is bigger than Maria’s apartment. It has a large garden and a modern kitchen. The living room is the brightest room because it has big windows.

Maria’s grandmother lives in an old cottage near the sea. It is the oldest building in the village. The walls are thicker than the walls in modern houses. It is the most peaceful place Maria knows.

Maria wants to buy her own home one day. She thinks a flat in the city is more convenient than a house in the countryside. But a house with a garden is more relaxing than a flat. She believes the best home is somewhere with friendly neighbours and a comfortable bedroom.
