My name is David, and my favourite hobby is playing the guitar. I practise carefully every evening after work. I sit quietly in my room and play for about an hour.
I started learning two years ago. At first, I played badly. My fingers moved slowly, and the music sounded terrible. But I practised hard every day. Now I play much better than before.
My friend Emma has a different hobby. She paints beautifully. She works patiently on each picture for many hours. She mixes the colours skilfully, and her paintings look amazing.
Every Saturday, we meet at the community centre. David plays the guitar happily while Emma paints calmly beside him. Other people come to watch and listen. They smile and clap loudly when we finish.
Hobbies help us relax. Whether you paint, play music, or run fast in the park, doing something you love is the best way to spend your free time.
