Raising children today is very different from twenty years ago. Parents must decide how much screen time is acceptable. Too much time on devices might affect a child’s sleep, and it may reduce their interest in physical activities.

Some experts believe that social media could harm teenagers’ mental health. Young people might feel anxious when they compare themselves to others online. However, other researchers say that the internet can also provide valuable support and friendship.

Many schools now use tablets in lessons. This might improve learning because students can access information instantly. On the other hand, technology cannot replace good teachers. Children must still practise writing by hand and speaking face to face.

Parents should be aware of what their children are doing online. They must set clear rules, but they should not ban all devices. A balanced approach may be the best solution. Children can benefit from technology if they use it wisely.
