Read the Text

Imagine a world where cars could fly. If personal aircraft were affordable, traffic jams would disappear completely. People would travel to work in straight lines instead of following crowded roads.

If flying cars existed, cities would look very different. Tall buildings would need landing pads on their roofs. Petrol stations would be replaced by charging points on every corner. Air traffic controllers would have much busier jobs.

Some problems would remain. If everyone had a flying car, the sky would become just as crowded as the roads are now. Accidents would be more dangerous, and insurance would probably cost more. Noise pollution would annoy people who lived near busy flight paths.

If I owned a flying car, I would visit my family more often. I would fly over mountains and oceans instead of sitting in airports for hours. However, I am sure that I would miss the simple pleasure of a long drive through the countryside.
