Online learning has been transformed by technology in recent years. Thousands of courses are offered by universities around the world. These courses can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection.
Video lectures are recorded by experienced teachers and then uploaded to learning platforms. Quizzes are marked automatically by computer programs. Feedback is given to students within minutes rather than days.
Some subjects are studied more easily online than in traditional classrooms. Languages, for example, are practised through interactive apps. Grammar rules are explained with clear examples, and pronunciation is checked by voice recognition software.
However, not every topic is suited to digital learning. Science experiments, for instance, cannot be conducted properly through a screen. Hands-on skills must be taught in person by qualified instructors.
Despite these limitations, online education is growing rapidly. New tools are being developed every month. It is expected by many experts that virtual classrooms will become a normal part of academic life.
